We will have the evaluation clinic on May 19th at TAV. Tentative times •10:00am-11:30am – Recreational to Intermediate •11:30am-1:00pm – Intermediate to Competitive •1:00pm-2:30pm – Competitive to Advanced •2:30pm-4:00pm – Advanced to Power and Power to Open No information on the scoring system will be given out, but detailed feedback will be given if requested, personally OR through email. *****NOTE***** PLEASE SEE BELOW THE REQUIREMENTS AND CRITERIA ON WHAT THE SKILLS AND EVAL WILL BE LOOKING FOR. Recreational
Recreational consist of players currently in Recreational, those relatively new to the game of volleyball or those in the process of learning the basic skills of accurate serving, passing and doing three contacts. (Pass, set, and attack) This division will not run an offense, but focus on working together as a team to create a consistent strategy and team environment. No NAGVA experience/rating.

Intermediate
Intermediate will consist of the more skilled players currently in Recreational and the less experienced players currently in Intermediate who have learned the basic skills of serving, passing and doing three contacts. This division will focus on trying to develop a team strategy such as defense and offense, and rotations that will make them successful. NAGVA – lower B rating.

Competitive
Competitive will consist of the more skilled players currently in Intermediate and the less experienced players currently in Competitive who understand, but may not have completely mastered, the dynamics and strategies of both a 5-1 or 6-2 offense. This division will start to focus on more position specific roles (Middles, Outsides, Setters), defensive (responsibilities) and offensive strategies, and serve receive rotations. NAGVA - B rating.

Advanced
Advanced will consist of the more experienced players currently in the Competitive Division. Players in this division will consistently demonstrate advanced skills on both offense and defense and will be fully comfortable with a 5-1 or 6-2 offense. This division will start to work on a faster offense and defense, able to understand setting locations, and tempos, blocking responsibilities and be fully comfortable with serve receive rotations and patterns. Advanced will be more position /role specific. NAGVA – high B and low BB ratings.

Power
Power Players currently in the Power Division will have good overall skills in every aspect of the game. This division will need to focus on being able to play multiple positions, understand and know responsibilities on offense, defense, blocking, and serve receive patterns. Players are required to have a working knowledge of multiple positions, offensive and defensive strategies, and above average skill / technique in 60% of the game. NAGVA – BB and low A ratings.
